Head Gaskets

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Steel Seal made of?
Steel Seal is composed of a proprietary chemical formula, that when introduced into your cooling system, will create a permanent seal as strong as steel.

How does Steel Seal work?
Steel Seal is poured into the radiator of a cold engine. Once the engine is started and reaches operating temperature, Steel Seal is distributed through the engine. The product is drawn into the damaged area and seals the crack with a thermo-chemical bonding process.

Will Steel Seal clog the engine’s cooling system?
Steel Seal is a clear formula that contains no fibrous materials or particles that could clog engine coolant passages.

Is Steel Seal compatible with antifreeze?
Yes, Steel Seal is compatible with all types of antifreeze.

How long will Steel Seal last?
We guarantee it for as long as you own your vehicle. No other product on the market has a guarantee like ours.

What should I do if I’ve used another product/sealer?
We recommend thoroughly flushing your system.

What kind of head gasket symptoms will Steel Seal fix?
White smoke out of the tailpipe
Water in the oil

Testimonials
I had already replaced the head gasket and was ready to junk a 1995 Chevy Cavalier when I tried Steel Seal. It was three weeks ago and the car runs and hasn’t required any coolant after 1,000 miles. I don’t know what this stuff is but it WORKS!

Many thanks for saving me a bundle on my Subaru Legacy. The directions were simple and with college tuition staring at me, I was in a panic at the cost to get the head gaskets replaced. I hope you guys have a ton of stories like mine and make a fortune for your great product. A surprised and satisfied customer.

I just wanted to say thanks….I was a bit skeptical, but trying your product was a lot less expensive than replacing my head gaskets. I have a 1992 Lumina and at 156,000 miles my head gaskets started leaking. I searched around and asked and decided on Steel Seal. Wow, I am glad I did. My Lumina now has 158,500 miles on it and I have not lost a drop of antifreeze. I already have and will continue to recommend your product.
